Broadcom ACPL/ACFL extended temperature optocouplers, available from Mouser, feature reinforced insulation and reliability for safety and signal isolation. The ACPL/ACFL operate up to 125C maximum and are ideal for critical applications. These industrial optocouplers use alloy lead frames for superior heat dissipation. In addition, the optocouplers feature a double wire bonding process for redundancy and reduced wire breakage issues. ?ACPL-xxxU optocouplers are housed in SO5, SO8, stretched SO8, and DIP8 packages. The stretched SO6 and SO8 packages have a 1.27mm lead pitch. ACFL-xxxxU devices are housed in a stretched SO12 with a fine pitch of 0.8mm. These optocouplers have two internal channels and are aligned 180 degrees from each other. This allows for bi-directional transmit/receive data communication design and board layout. The two channels are electrically independent and galvanically isolated for reliable, robust bi-directional power system communication interfaces.
