STMicroelectronics STBC02 Li-Ion linear battery charger with LDO, available now from Mouser, is a highly integrated power management IC that embeds a linear battery charger, 150mA LDO and two SPDT load switches. The STBCO2 also has a smart reset/watchdog block and a protection circuit module (PCM) to prevent the battery from being damaged under fault conditions.
The device uses a CC/CV algorithm to charge the battery with a fast charge and pre-charge current that can independently programmed using dedicated resistors.
