Power
Available from Mouser, the Fairchild FL77944 LED direct AC driver helps designers develop lighting solutions with a smaller form factor, scalable power, excellent performance, and low flicker. This integrated circuit solution offers a <0.1 flicker index, >0.9 power factor <20% total harmonic distortion, and a full range of dimming capabilities. Dimming capabilities include phase-cut, analog, and PWM. The driver has a wide 90-305VAC input range and is power scalable from 12W to 120W.
The DACD requires only two external RC passive components. In the standard configuration, one resistor adjusts the LED power and one capacitor delivers a stable voltage to an internal biasing shunt regulator. By eliminating the need for magnetic components and electrolytic caps, the driver can fit into tighter spaces, has fewer points-of-failure, and lasts longer than SMPS-based products.
Typical applications downlights, high bay lights, troffers, street lights, tunnel lights, and other outdoor lighting; residential, commercial, and industrial lighting.
