NECTOR portfolio for power and illumination now at Mouser

Mouser is now stocking the NECTOR M power system, sealed system and cable assemblies from TE Connectivity. The portfolio provides a reconfigurable, plug-and-play alternative to traditional hard-wired electrical connections. TE’s NECTOR M portfolio is a fully pluggable, modular wiring connector and cabling system for lighting and electrical installations. Its round 3, 5, 6 and 7-pole design, available in sealed versions, drastically reduces installation time compared to rectangular connector systems. The enhanced systems allow electrical contract manufacturers to engineer, design, and build power distribution units, electrical devices, and cable assemblies off-site, which can reduce on-site labour costs and waste, increase efficiency, and improve reliability for electrical installations. Its circular form factor requires less space, supports easy field installation and simplifies routing during installation. The sealed power system offers a complete range of IP20-rated pluggable electrical installation components for indoor applications with free-hanging (crimp and field-installable contacts), panel/chassis mount, PCB-mount and power splitter solutions. For example, a 3-pole system could be an ideal solution for ceiling, wall, pendant and furniture lighting fixtures that require a ground connection in residential or commercial spaces. The multi-phase, 5-pole system provides the power and signal connections required for lighting control applications. The multi-phase, 7-pole systems provide additional power and signal connections to be used for emergency lighting systems and for colour control lighting capability. The sealed power system meets IEC 61535 standards for construction applications as well as UL 1977 standards for data, signal control, and power applications. The sealed portfolio is also IP67 rated, which makes it an ideal solution for outdoor lighting and high-humidity applications.
