EPCOS / TDK EP Series transformers, available from Mouser, include high inductance ferrite core transformers as well as current sense transformers that utilize the same ferrite core series. The EP ferrite core's low overall height allows the current sense transformers to feature a compact design and allows for a current handling range up to 30A with frequency range from 50KHz to 250KHz.
Applications include switch-mode power supplies and all types of converters; DC-DC inverters in xEV applications; and current measurement in 48V on-board power supplies.
