Human detection proximity sensors offer 'plug and play' operation

Panasonic Automotive & Industrial Systems' MA active IR motion / proximity sensors are now available from Farnell element14. The human detection infrared proximity sensors offer 'plug and play' operation with trigonometric background suppression, which means they are unaffected by changing scenes or by people passing by outside the detection range. Features include miniature size (35% thinner than previous model), detection unaffected by reflectance of object, requires only DC power supply for operation, use in adjacent positions is possible.
