High-voltage drivers for offline high-brightness LED lamps and more

20-08-2015 | Mouser Electronics | Power

Mouser now stocks Diodes Inc.'s AL99 Series high-voltage LED drivers. The devices provide an efficient solution for applications such as offline, high-brightness LED lamps. They feature internal MOSFETs that allow switching frequencies up to 300kHz, with the switching frequency determined by an external single resistor. The AL99 topology creates a constant current through the LEDs providing constant light output. The output current is programmed by one external resistor. The LED brightness can be varied by both Linear and PWM dimming, using the AL99's LD and PWM pins respectively. The PWM input operates with a duty ratio of 0-100% and a frequency of up to several kHz. Applications include LED offline lamps, high-voltage DC-DC LED drivers, signage and decorative LED lighting, backlighting of flat-panel displays, and general-purpose constant-current source requirements.
