High-frequency switching regulator integrates high-side high-voltage power MOSFET

A versatile high-frequency switching regulator with an integrated high-side high-voltage power MOSFET, the Monolithic Power Systems MP4559 step-down converter is now available from Mouser stock. The device targets applications such as high-voltage power conversion, automotive systems, industrial, distributed and battery-power systems. The MP4559 delivers 1.5A output with current mode control for fast loop response and easy compensation. Input range is a wide 3.8V to 55V in order to accommodate many step-down applications such as an automotive input environment. 12µA quiescent current in shutdown mode makes the MP4559 suitable for battery powered applications. Higher power conversion efficiency is achieved over a wide load range by scaling down the switching frequency under light load conditions.
