Fully-shielded 90 degree M12 connector series now has eight cable outlet options

Now available from Aerco is a new version of the popular range of M12 connectors from Provertha that provides fully shielded 90 degree M12 cable connectors with eight cable outlet options. One of the eight positions is selected by turning in 45 degree steps and then simply secured with a screw lock. This provides maximum flexibility of cable outlet direction and, together with the compact form factor of the M12 connectors, eliminates many cabling problems. The connector system was designed with reliability and shock resistance high on the agenda and is the only M12 cable connector on the market that uses crimp flange technology, making them suitable for tough applications in rail, industrial and similar equipment. They are available in A-code 5 and 8 pole and D-code 4 pole versions. The solid, machined, brass housing and unique crimp flange system with crimp insert and crimp sleeve provides the torsion-resistant strain relief required for fault-free data transmission, 360 degree EMI/RFI shielding and environmental protection to IP67 in tough industrial environments. The new M12 connectors can be supplied in various formats for Profibus systems and conventional cable and panel-mounted versions. Versions without screen termination are also available, says the company.
