Designed as a highly-integrated demodulator and synthesizer for next-generation communication systems, Analog Devices' ADRF6820 quadrature demodulator is now available from Mouser's stock.
Feature rich, the device includes a high-linearity broadband I/Q demodulator, an integrated fractional-N phase-locked loop (PLL), and a low phase noise multicore, and voltage controlled oscillator (VCO). In addition, it integrates a 2:1 RF switch, an on-chip tunable RF balun, a programmable RF attenuator, and two low dropout (LDO) regulators.
The ADRF6820 supports two single-ended, 50ohm terminated RF inputs using the high isolation 2:1 RF switch and on-chip tunable RF balun. An optimal differential RF input level to the high linearity demodulator core is achieved with the programmable attenuator. The integrated attenuator delivers an attenuation range of 0dB to 15dB with a step size of 1dB. ADRF6820's programmable attenuator ensures an optimal differential RF input level to the high linearity demodulator core.
Developed using an advanced silicon-germanium BiCMOS process, the ADRF6820 can operate over the -40C to +85C temperature range. Available in a 40-lead, RoHS-compliant, 6mm × 6mm LFCSP package with an exposed paddle, the device is particularly suitable for cellular W-CDMA/GSM/LTE applications, digital pre-distortion (DPD) receivers, and microwave point-to-point radios.
