Compact easy-to-use 2A and 3A synchronous step-down buck converters

Optimized to operate with minimum external component counts and to achieve low standby current, the Texas Instruments, (TI) TPS562200 and TPS563200 are easy-to-use 2A and 3A synchronous step-down (buck) converters in SOT-23 packages. These switch mode power supply devices employ D-CAP2 mode control providing a fast transient response supporting both low equivalent series resistance output capacitors such as specialty polymer and ultra-low ESR ceramic capacitors with no external compensation components. The devices operate in Advanced Eco-mode, which maintains high efficiency during light load operation. The come in a 6-pin 1.6mm × 2.9mm SOT (DDC) package with an operating temperature range of -40C to 85C.
