Navitas Unveils Bidirectional GaN Switches for Solar and EV Applications

At PCIM 2025, Electropages caught up with Llew Vaughan-Edmunds from Navitas to explore their latest innovation: the industry’s first production 650V bidirectional GaN power switch. Designed to reduce part count and improve efficiency, these devices enable single-stage power conversion in solar microinverters, EV onboard chargers, and more. 

Navitas also announced automotive-grade qualifications for its GaNSafe portfolio, expanding its reach across automotive, industrial, and renewable energy markets.
