Innovative isolator for safer and faster electrical installations

Europa has announced the launch of its latest innovation in power isolation. The Lever Arm Isolator is an enclosed switch-disconnector engineered for speed, safety and reliability.

Designed to meet the demands of modern electrical installations, it provides a smarter and more secure way to isolate power in various environments – from HVAC systems to extractor fans.

The isolator features a spring-based, screwless design that eliminates the risk of loose connections, a common cause of arcing and electrical fires.

Unlike traditional switch-disconnectors that rely on rising clamp terminals, the isolator ensures connections are made correctly and securely.

Key benefits of the Lever Arm Isolator include:

  • Faster installation: No need to torque screws, saving time on-site and reducing downtime for end-users.
  • Improved safety: Secure spring-clamp technology eliminates loose connections and ensures correct fitting.
  • Flexibility: Two M20 top and bottom, and two M25 rear cable entries allow for easy wiring configurations.
  • Durability: Housed in a UV-resistant, halogen-free polycarbonate enclosure with an IP66 rating and glow wire flammability of 960C.
  • Security: Padlockable in the OFF position (up to 3 padlocks) for added on-site safety.

Rob Aitken, technical director at Europa, said: “We have launched the Lever Arm Isolator range to directly address some of the biggest challenges our customers face – installation time and connection safety.

“The spring-loaded, screwless design reduces installation errors, prevents loose connections, and saves valuable time on site. It’s a game-changer for AC isolators.”

Ben Adams, head of sales at Europa, added: “We are confident the Lever Arm Isolator will be incredibly well received by our customers because it solves real, everyday challenges.

“For installers, speed and simplicity matter – and this product delivers both, without compromising safety.

“It’s a smarter solution that will help our customers work more efficiently.”
