CrayoNano has announced a performance enhancement of its CrayoLED H-series UV-C LED. Entering the class of 100mW, 5% wall-plug efficiency at a standard operating current of 350mA, this LED is a game changer in the disinfection market, standing among the market's leading suppliers.

The device is a high-performance UV-C LED that provides dependable and long-lasting solutions for demanding disinfection applications. The high-power performance class of 100mW can effectively inactivate bacteria, viruses, and other illness-inducing pathogens quickly, enhancing system efficiency and future disinfection automation.

Another key advantage of the device is its improved wall plug efficiency of 5%. This indicates that the LED is more energy-efficient and renders less heat, producing a longer lifetime. It has an L70, TM-21 extrapolated lifetime of over 10,000 hours at 350mA, a defining industry-required standard. The LED would have an effective lifespan of up to 5-10 years in commercial and residential Point-of-Use and Point-of-Entry water disinfection systems. These systems commonly use UV-C LEDs for several minutes per operation cycle, for an annual usage of approximately 1,000-2,000 hours. The LED supplies a reliable and long-lasting solution for water disinfection.

"Our dedication to continuous development and commitment to quality and performance has culminated in more than 30% improvement since the product's launch. Entering the performance class of 100mW, 5% wall plug efficiency, high drive current capacity without compromising our values of quality first – make the CrayoLEDTM a reliable, efficient, and robust solution, ideal to enable mass UV-C LED adoption into disinfection applications," says Michael Peil, CRO. "With these results, we look forward to further characterisation of our LEDs at a higher drive current capacity."

These impressive results demonstrate that the LED provides versatility through outstanding performance and reliability. It is an excellent option for system integrators and product designers who need flexibility in their disinfection solutions. Whether requiring higher power or a longer lifetime, it can satisfy application needs without sacrificing quality or performance. Its advanced performance and durability make it an excellent solution for a wide range of applications requiring effective pathogen inactivation.
