Design-in support for supercapacitor applications

Würth Elektronik has provided a new help guide for developers titled "Always in balance - Balancing supercapacitors" on its website. The latest publication comprises experience gained from support and addresses the relative unfamiliarity of using supercapacitors. This extends its previous support with application notes, explanatory videos, and webinars.

Although supercapacitors, such as the Würth Elektronik WCAP-STSC series, only differ from other capacitors in their higher energy density, they unlock entirely different applications. Its product management team assists developers, particularly in applying capacitors as energy storage devices, with concepts, selection criteria and calculation bases.

Whether stopping data loss in a power failure, critical network devices, or medical technology, supercapacitors are durable components for a short-term power supply.
