OMRON Electronic Components Europe has released a new range of Push-In Terminal Block PCB Connectors to noticeably increase the efficiency of connector insertion and removal and cable wiring throughout assembly. These products will be ideal for factory automation applications, such as robot controllers, AC servo drivers and CNC machines.

The new OMRON XW4M and XW4N provide a very low board profile, decreasing the space needed for the components in designs. The connectors deliver a very low insertion and extraction force while maintaining high-quality contact reliability. They are offered as a double-row or single-row socket or plug.

Commenting for OMRON, Iker Saenz, product marketing manager, said: “We are delighted to launch these new connectors. We are certain that their small size will be of benefit to our customers’ designs, and they will also enhance the efficiency of inspection, assembly and maintenance.”

The connectors are created with simplicity of assembly in mind to eradicate human error. The products’ wiring efficiency is enhanced with a 'hands-free' mechanism that keeps a screwdriver inserted, saving time and lessening the risk of errors, as does the clear embossed pin-numbering on the packaging. A safe locking mechanism minimises the possibility of accidental release of wires.
