New DC-DC converter reduces component and labour costs

The newly developed TRACO Power TSR-E, TEA, TBA and TEC series are available from 1W to 3W covering 12 new product families. They all concentrate on a simple and effective design approach which is unique to those products. By creative engineering they have come up with an electrical design which reduces component and labour costs. A key focus of those designs was to maximise the amount of automatisation of the manufacturing process.

With this clever product design, the company optimised the automation of the manufacturing approach to the maximum. This allowed them to launch cost and quality optimised, low power DC-DC converters which are ideal for high volume IoT projects.

Florian Haas, director of Global Marketing and Product Management, stated: "We have listened to the market and are pleased to launch the campaign of our new low-cost DC-DC converters. With the TSR 1E (non-isolated, regulated), TEA/TBA (isolated, unregulated) and TEC 2/3 (isolated, regulated) series models, we give designers a choice of high quality, cost-optimised DC-DC converters from 1-3 watts. Unlike our competitors, we focus on the campaign not only the price reduction but also HOW we can achieve these low manufacturing costs and what benefits these products bring to the customer."

Typical applications include space and cost critical solutions, and high-volume projects where simple and reliable products are required.
