Analog Devices EV-21569-SOM Evaluation Board, available now from Mouser, is a demonstration and development platform for the ADSP-2156x SHARC+ Single-Core DSPs. The devices are 32-bit, 40-bit, and 64-bit floating-point processors optimised for high-performance, audio/floating-point applications incorporating a large on-chip SRAM, multiple internal buses that eradicate I/O bottlenecks, and inventive Digital Audio Interfaces.

The evaluation board offers an easy-to-use plug-n-play reference design with all the essential interfaces made available for customers to interface to from their own custom hardware ahead of the release of the processor itself.

The device ships with all of the required hardware to get the user up and running to allow fast prototyping for a broad range of applications. These applications comprise immersive 3D sound and PAZ, ANC/RNC, voice-based user-interfaces and ICC, ESS, and EVWSS/AVAS. Further applications include professional audio and soundbars/home AVRs (with 3D Object and Multi-Channel Audio) and enhanced conferencing systems.

The evaluation board is created to run as a standalone unit. The board can also be plugged into the EV-SOMCRR-EZKIT Carrier Board for a fast and easy evaluation of the processor core and system peripherals/interfaces.
