Anritsu Company expands its W1 (1mm) component line with the launch of bias tees, DC block, and semi-rigid cables that function to 110GHz and offer broadband frequency scalability in high-frequency device characterisation and optical networking applications. The addition of the new components provides the company with the most extensive mmWave, coaxial component portfolio in the market, which can be integrated into test systems. Hence, engineers have higher confidence in their emerging high-speed designs.

With an operable frequency of DC to 110GHz, the new components produce metrology-grade quality results with high repeatability. Moreover, ensuring flexibility for customer testing, these new components offer a component solution where traditional devices, including waveguide, do not exist. The device coaxial interface provides for a direct connection to the instrument test port, which conserves time and eases system setup.

The new components can be employed as part of a test system comprising of 110GHz VNAs, oscilloscopes and BERTs, as well as for optical transceivers, laser diodes, photodiodes and optical modulators. Development of switches and routers employing NRZ and PAM4 modulation schemes with 56Gbps and 112Gbps data rates and 800G technology are applications, as well.
