Power modules ideal for powering an extensive range of applications

Texas Instruments TPSM5360x Power Modules comprise of highly integrated 2A (TPSM53602), 3A (TPSM53603) or 4A (TPSM53604) power solutions including a 36V input. Every device consolidates a step-down, DC-DC converter with power MOSFETs, a shielded inductor, and passives in a thermally-enhanced QFN package. The 5mm x 5.5mm x 4mm, 15-pin QFN package uses routable lead-frame technology providing enhanced thermal performance, small footprint and low EMI. The package size has all pins accessible from the perimeter and an individual large thermal pad for a simple layout and simple handling in manufacturing.

The total solution needs as few as four external components and removes the loop compensation and magnetics part selection from the design process. The full feature set incorporates power good, pre-bias start-up, programmable UVLO, overcurrent, and overtemperature protection. This makes the modules an exceptional device for powering an extensive range of applications.

Typical applications include general-purpose wide VIN power supplies, factory automation and control, test and measurement, aerospace and defence, and negative output voltage applications.
