Open frame and enclosed power supplies for medical and ITE applications

XP Power ECH450 450W Open Frame and Enclosed Power Supplies, available now from Mouser, are packaged in an ultra-compact footprint of 5" x 3" and approved for medical and ITE applications. The ECH450 power supplies give up to 450W force cooled, and 250W convection cooled, enabling high power densities of 20W/in3. A 12V/600mA fan supply is incorporated to facilitate system cooling along with a 5V/1A standby output. The power supply includes two fuses and low leakage currents excellent for medical applications and is safety approved to operate in a +70C ambient temperature.

The devices are created to reduce no-load power consumption and maximise efficiency to satisfy environmental legislation and medical and ITE standards. EN55011/32 level B conducted emissions enable the power supplies to be employed in a vast range of applications. The device 5V standby and remote on/off, 12V fan output and operates between -20C to +70C operation, providing high efficiency, up to 95%.
