Designated the RHM250 and RHM250P both models from FiDUS are rated at 250W and provide seven different output voltages from 12VDC to 48VDC with the RHM250P having an additional 5V/2A standby rail with remote on-off. The pair of 1U, high power density power supplies provide 250W of output power in the industry-standard open frame footprint of 3 x 5”. The units offer continuous protection from short circuit, overload and overvoltage conditions as standard.

The devices have a broad operating temperature range from -40C to +70C, providing low no-load power consumption and feature a five-year warranty.

These power supplies meet the latest medical approvals; safety IEC 60601-1 (ed 3.1) and EMC immunity IEC 60601-1-2 (ed 4) and the model features 2xMOPP input to output isolation and suitable for body floating (BF) applications for applied parts.

Typical applications include patient monitors, ultrasound systems, medical Imaging, blood chemistry analysers, medical and cosmetic lasers and patient contact tools.

“The RHM250 very cost-competitive power supplies are suitable for many medical applications where equipment size and budget is important. Being manufactured to meet the very latest medical approvals ensures our customer’s new product designs are future-proof. They are truly universal with no AC derating and still offer 50% power at 70°C. With excellent EMC performance these units would be great for system upgrades with confidence that the new units would not compromise EMC performance,” comments Mark Gibbons, engineering manager at FiDUS Power. “We give our customers complete peace of mind by providing a confident five-year warranty, ensuring vital electronic systems will deliver reliable service for many years.”
