Three-axis accelerometer for cell phones and product motion sensing

The mCube MC3479 Three-Axis Accelerometer, available from Mouser, is a small form factor, integrated digital output three-axis accelerometer with a feature set optimised for cell phones and consumer product motion sensing.

The accelerometer offers a dedicated motion block that achieves support for any motion and shake detection, tilt/flip and tilt 35 position detection. This accelerometer uses low power and is small in size, which is inherent in the monolithic fabrication approach. The accelerometer provides for setting sample rate from 0.5 samples to 1000 samples per second. The device supports reading of sample and event status through polling or interrupts.

The device measure just 2mm x 2mm x 0.92mm in a 12-pin LGA package. The accelerometer is RoHS compliant.

Typical applications include a smartphone, wearable, IoT and IoMT, remote controls, gaming, vibration in cell phones, VR, and game controllers.
