DC-DC step-down power module is a non-isolated complete power supply

Renesas Electronics RAA210610 DC-DC Step-Down Power Module, available now from Mouser, is a non-isolated complete power supply created to produce up to 15A of continuous current. This power module functions from a single 7V to 54V wide input power rail and combines the power inductor, the controller, and MOSFETs. This enables it to be optimised for space-constrained applications and functions with only a few external components. The power module offers 0.6V to 42V of adjustable output voltage range with better than 1.5% accuracy over load, line, and temperature. This power module offers superior loop stability and fast transient response and delivers up to 97.6% efficiency.

The power module can synchronise the operating frequency with an external clock signal. This power module implements a selectable PSM with DEM to improve light-load efficiency for battery-powered applications. The power module also provides programmable overcurrent, input UVLO, output overvoltage, over-temperature, and output pre-bias start-up protections to ensure safe operations.

Typical applications include point-of-load conversions, aftermarket automotive, and industrial, telecom, and medical equipment.
