Texas Instruments TPS2HB16-Q1 Dual-Channel Smart High-Side Switches are designed for employment in 12V automotive systems. These switches combine robust protection and diagnostic features to assure output port protection throughout harmful events like short circuits in automotive systems. The switches guard against faults through a reliable current limit that relies on the device variant and is adaptable from 4.1A to 48.5A.

The dual-channel high-side switches offer a high accuracy analog current sense that provides for improved load diagnostics. These switches facilitate predictive maintenance and load diagnostics that enhance the system lifetime by reporting load current and device temperature to a system MCU. The switches are offered in an HTSSOP package that provides for decreased PCB footprint. These devices are AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications.

Typical application includes ADAS modules, transmission control unit, body control modules, seat comfort module, and automotive display modules.
