ON Semiconductor FAN53741 2.5MHz Synchronous Buck Regulators, offered now by Mouser, gives a fixed output from an input voltage supply of 2.3V to 5.5V. The devices employ a proprietary architecture with synchronous rectification, that can deliver a peak efficiency of 97% and can support a maximum load of 1300mA.

The regulators operate at a nominal fixed frequency of 2.5MHz, which decreases the value of the external components and delivers a total solution size of 5.24mm2. PFM at moderate and light load is employed to operate the device with a low quiescent current of 60A. The regulators exhibit excellent transient response throughout load swings with a low quiescent current. The system automatically switches to fixed-frequency control at higher loads operating at 2.5MHz. In Shutdown Mode, the supply current falls below 0.5A, decreasing power consumption.

The 2.5MHz Synchronous Buck Regulators are available in a six-bump, 0.4mm pitch, Wafer-Level Chip-Scale Package.

Typical applications include smart phones, wearables, smart watch, health monitoring, sensor drive, energy harvesting, utility and safety modules, and RF modules.
