Mouldable thermally conductive plastic ideal for camera and electronics housings

Spreadfast thermally conductive engineering plastic, available now from RS Components, has been produced for its thermal conductivity, mouldability and EMI issue reducing properties. Heat sinks utilising this plastic have a 30% reduced weight in comparison with similar performing aluminium devices. The material has exceptional mouldability for injection moulding, and higher production yield than aluminium die casting.

This material is especially fitting for camera and electronics housing with built-in heat dispersing design. Four popular geometries have been created for various applications including switching power supplies, AC motors, microprocessors and LED cooling.
