Mouser now offers Osconiq S 3030 QD LEDs from Osram Opto Semiconductors. Utilising Quantum Dot (QD) tunable light conversion technology, these mid-power LEDs are intended for area lighting and downlight applications that profit from high efficacy and superior colour rendering.

This product is the company’s first LED to feature QD technology, which provides exceptional efficacy, even at high CRI. It allows the company to start to close the efficacy gap that exists between CRI80 and CRI90 LEDs now. Another unique feature of the LEDs is the QDs are encapsulated to shield them from moisture and other outside influences that pose the largest risk to the functionality of an LED.

The LEDs offer illumination colour options of warm white or cool white (2700K to 4000K) with a minimum CRI of 90. The LEDs’ innovative QD phosphor solution allows CRI90 to deliver an exceptional efficacy value of 173 m/W at 3000K, a best-in-class value for 0.2W high-performance LEDs. The devices can endure up to 8kV of ESD voltage, according to ANSI/ESDA/JEDEC JS-001 (HBM, Class 3B).

The LEDs are housed in a compact 3mm x 3mm surface-mount package and provide a wide 120-degree beam angle at 50% luminous intensity. The LEDs offer luminous flux of 31lm at 3000K with a forward voltage of 2.75V, forward current range of 10mA to 180mA, and an operating temperature range of -40C to 100C.
