Texas Instruments CAPTIVATE-BSWP is a CapTIvate button, wheel, slider, and proximity demonstration board. This demo board is a simple evaluation platform for self-capacitance capacitive touch sensors in a mixture of configurations. The sensor panel shows low power design principles for battery-powered applications and showcases MSP430 CapTIvate MCU's wake-on-proximity state machine feature. The panel board also demonstrates the high slider and wheel sensor resolution obtainable with self-capacitance sensors.

The board interfaces to the MSP430 CapTIvate ecosystem MCU boards, like the CAPTIVATE-FR2633. The board offers 16 capacitive touch elements, including eight buttons, one three-element wheel, one four-element slider, and one proximity sensor. The board provides wake-on-proximity operation with 5µA average current.
