Texas Instruments TPS568230 Synchronous Step-down Voltage Regulators provide a high-efficiency, high-voltage input, and integrated FETs. The device features ULQ (Ultra Low Quiescent) to allow low-bias current and large duty operation. The ULQ feature is very beneficial for extended battery life in low power operation.

The device functions with supply input voltage ranging from 4.5V to 18V and supports both internal and external soft-start time option. The DCAP3 control mode gives a fast transient response, load regulation, good line, no demand for external compensation, and maintains low ESR output capacitors such as speciality polymer and ultra-low ESR ceramic capacitors.

Protection features comprise of OVP, UVP, OCP, OTP and UVLO, and combined power good signal and output discharge function. The MODE pin can be used to set Eco-mode, OOA mode or FCCM mode for light load operation. The device is offered in a 20-pin 3mm x 3mm HotRod package and has a junction temperature specified from -40C to 125C.
