SCHURTER has extended the range of rated currents in their compact, high-performance fuse SHF 6.3x32 downwards. The device is a ceramic fuse for higher voltages (AC and DC) with fast tripping features. Their high withstand voltage, and high breaking capacity of 1500A reveals new fields of application. The company now provides the fuse in 13 rated currents between 500mA and 8A. The high breaking capacity of 1500A at a rated voltage of up to 500VAC/VDC characterises the fuse. As well as a multitude of applications in the energy and industrial sector, the fuse is suitable for the protection of three-phase systems. The fuse is offered as a fuse-insert and pigtail version (rated current >1A). Fuse-inserts are ideal for mounting in clips and fuseholders, which makes it possible to speedily replace the fuse without desoldering. The company offers suitable clips and fuse holders for this option. The pigtail version enables direct mounting on PCBs using through-hole technology and soldering. The fuse can be used as RoHS-compliant fuse for lead-free systems. The compatibility with competitor products enables the company to provide the fuse as a replacement product. The fuse is also cURus-approved.
