TDK has announced availability of more compact versions for its snap-in B43640 and B43644 series of aluminum electrolytic capacitors with rated voltages of 400V and 450V. In comparison with the previous versions they are up to 15 percent more compact. All types are suitable for a maximum operating temperature of 105C. All versions of series B43640 are designed for a useful life of 2000 hours. They offer capacitances of between 120µF and 1000µF (400V), and between 82µF and 820µF (450 V). Depending on the rated capacitance and voltage, the dimensions are within the standardized grid of between 22mm x 25mm and 35mm x 55mm (d x h). On the other hand, the B43644 series has a useful life of 5000 hours. These devices cover capacitance ranges of between 100µF and 820µF (400V), or between 68µF and 680µF (450V). The dimensions of these types are within the standardized grid of between 22mm x 25mm and 35mm x 55mm (d x h). The new capacitors are suitable for applications such as converters, power supplies and household appliances.
