Robust front-mounting industrial power /signal connectors

Available now from Digi-Key, a new industrial power connectors, the PS3F from Hirose, is a front-mount version of the PS3 connector which is ideal for installations in which rear maintenance space is limited or absent. Like the proven PS3 series, the PS3F series offers both power and signal contacts, and features plug-in, pull-out maintenance. PS3F contacts are installed in a casing on the front (mating side) of the connector, allowing front-side maintenance. This series features a floating structure that absorbs any mis-alignment errors during mating in both the X- and Y-axis directions. For the signal lines, the PS3F connector utilizes the highly-reliable Hirose GT8E connector. The GT8E connector is a rugged connector designed for automotive applications with a proven track record and extensive variations and types to fit a variety of requirements. The signal contacts can be daisy-chained for battery rack assemblies. Other features include a reliable multi-point contact structure, and IP2X finger protection. Applications include battery storage, uninterrupted power supplies and industrial machinery with signal line daisy-chain requirements.
