The E+E Elektronik HTM502 sensing module provides a cost-effective humidity and temperature measurement solution. It is characterised by straightforward implementation, high accuracy, and reliability. Integration and interchangeability through the I2C interface enable rapid project implementation. The integrated sensor protection and the mechanically robust enclosure help a broad range of applications. The module is especially suited for price-sensitive applications in the HVAC sector but also industrial applications.

The sensing module measures humidity and temperature with an accuracy of ±2% RH and ±0.3C (0.54F) and can be used in applications between 5C and 60C (41...140F). The robust enclosure provides the module with great mechanical stability and offers easy handling by stopping accidental contact with the sensing element. The company's integrated sensor coating protects the sensing element against dirt and corrosion, enhancing measurement performance and long-term stability in severe and demanding environments.

The I2C interface provides for easy integration of the humidity and temperature module, indicating that projects can be swiftly implemented. The device provides two measurement operating modes (single-shot or periodic measurement mode) and supports communication speeds up to 1000kHz. Thanks to the low supply voltage of 2.35–3.6V and the low current necessity, the module is also suited for applications with low energy consumption.

The device's design lends itself to straightforward installation with no additional implementation overhead or soldering work. Thanks to the four-pin connector plug, the sensing module can be replaced quickly in the field.
