Hygienic switching using a contactless switch

A wide variety of technologies for contactless switching are competing for approval from developers and buyers. But not each is ideal to the same extent. Frequently, they can send out false signals under certain conditions, such as splash water, rain and this can trigger unintentional switching.

The optical technology TOF used in the Schurter TTS, and available now from TTI Europe, maybe programmed individually, with high precision, so that malfunctions are stopped.

The switch is programmed so that standard detection distances are 60mm to 0.02mm. This assures that wiping over or cleaning the switch surface cannot trigger a switching signal. These switches provide the highest reliability. As they have no moving parts, their lifetime is over 20 million switching cycles.

Typical applications include public areas, vending machines, parking systems, and sanitary areas.
