Analog Devices Inc. ADA4099-1 Over-The-Top Precision Op-Amps, available now from Mouser, provide inputs that operate from −VS to +VS and beyond, referred to as Over-The-Top. The devices offer offset voltages of <30µV, input bias currents (IB) of <10nA and can run on single or split supplies that range from 3.15V to 50V. Furthermore, the device draws 1.5mA of quiescent current.

These op-amps offer an input stage with robust input protection features for abusive environments. The inputs can endure up to 80V of differential voltage with no damage or degradation to DC accuracy. The operating input common-mode range reaches from rail-to-rail and beyond, up to 70V > –VS, independent of the +VS supply.

The device is unity-gain stable and can drive loads needing up to 20mA. The devices also drive capacitive loads as large as 100pF and are offered with a low power shutdown. The device is provided in a standard, six-lead, thin small outline transistor (TSOT) package.

Typical applications include industrial sensor conditioning, supply current sensing, battery and power supply monitoring, front-end amplifiers in abusive environments, and 4mA to 20mA transmitters.
