Sensors for measuring brightness, temperature, humidity and acceleration as well as a magnetic contact for open/closed status monitoring make the EnOceans multisensor STM 550r an all-rounder for smart environments and IoT. Thanks to the integrated energy harvesting technology, the sensor is totally energy self-sufficient and maintenance-free. The device is available now at Rutronik UK.

The device matches in multiple applications due to the compact and standardised PTM 21x form factor. This provides integration into a mixture of existing switch systems or individual housing designs.

The multi-flexibility provides an installation wherever data is required to be collected for a functioning smart system, such as smart builds, smart homes and the IoT for space utilisation systems. However, the multi-sensor is also ideal for digitised facility services and predictive maintenance in medical equipment or vending machines, activity measurement and the use of AI.

An NFC interface is offered for configuration and commissioning. Available with the EnOcean radio standard with 868MHz for Europe, 902MHz for the USA and Canada and 928MHz for Japan, and the Bluetooth standard valid worldwide with 2.4GHz. The AES with a 128-bit key length gives the required security for the smart environment.
