Four-channel speech synthesis LSIs enable high-quality voice functionality

ROHM Semiconductor LAPIS ML22Q6x Four-Channel Speech Synthesis LSIs are created to easily add high-quality voice functionality to almost any application. The LSIs combine 4MB to 32MB flash memory, excellent for long audio playback applications including voice guidance.

These devices are provided with either a clock synchronous serial interface (ML22Q62x) or I2C interface (ML22Q66x). The LSIs also offer HQ-ADPCM compression technology, a 16-bit DAC, and a low-pass filter for providing high sound quality, as well as an integrated 1W monaural speaker amp that allows direct speaker drive.

The LSIs are provided in a TQFP32 package, with a wide -40C to +70C operating temperature range.

Typical application areas include home electronics, consumer electronics, industrial electronics, and games and toys.
