Persistent memory delivers with groundbreaking technology

Mouser now stocks Intel Optane persistent memory, which gives an affordable alternative to DRAM with significantly extended capacity of up to 512GiB. The memory provides increased performance and efficiency, serving to support applications including in-memory databases, analytics, and content delivery networks.

These persistent memory modules offer designers and developers access to large, affordable memory capacity that can serve as either volatile memory or a persistent, high-performance data tier. To ease integration, the modules are DDR4 socket compatible and work on the same bus/channels as DDR4 DRAM, allowing design flexibility when working with conventional DDR4 DRAM DIMMs on the same platform. System administrators can configure the memory to function as volatile memory capacity indistinguishable from DRAM from a software perspective, or as non-volatile memory that keeps its data like an SSD, but at 225 times faster data access than a typical NAND-based drive.

The persistent memory modules are offered in capacities of 128GiB, 256GiB, and 512GiB, and are compatible with the 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processor family, supporting the development of up to eight-socket systems with up to 24TBytes of system memory. The modules provide higher system performance with larger memory giving much higher endurance than NAND SSDs for write-intensive workloads.

The versatile memory offers two operating modes — App Direct Mode and Memory Mode — enabling users to tailor their persistent memory solutions to particular workloads.
