AVX Niobium Oxide OxiCap Capacitors are solid electrolytic capacitors based on Niobium Oxide (NbO) anode material instead of conventional Tantalum, providing non-Tantalum material solutions. Niobium is universally available material, next element to Tantalum in the periodic table with many comparable features. Numerous advantages over Tantalum come from Oxides of Niobium that are all stable with extremely specific performance with each Oxide number, which is used in the unique OxiCap manufacturing technology of processing Niobium Oxide powders as a base material for the anode.

These capacitors are remarkably stable performance capacitors with a high-reliability level of 0.5%/1000hrs at 85C or better, high safety technology with non-burning high resistance failure mode and high break down voltage.

These devices are available as low ESR, High CV, low profile, up to 125C and multi-anode technologies. It is environmentally-friendly and RoHS compliant technology in the same form, case size, and the same or similar technical performance as conventional Tantalum capacitors.

These capacitors are provided in voltage rate up to 10Vr and high Capacitance. The majority of these series meet AEC-Q200 requirements. All of these capacitors are supplied in orange colour encapsulating material.
