The capacitive coupled TSON relays from Panasonic belong to the successful Low CxR PhotoMOS relay series with an optimised product of C and R at the output transistors. It is available now from TTI Europe and is offered in 30V, 40V, 60V and 100V options. Distinctive from the PhotoMOS relays, the galvanic isolation of input and output is not optical, but capacitive. By substituting the LED circuit, the package size can be reduced and needs 46% less board space than SON package, while also reducing power consumption to a typical forward current of only 0.2mA. The temperature performance increases up to 105C, and a voltage-driven input circuit allows a fast switching speed.
