RS Components offers availability of the latest thermal imaging device from Fluke. The new and highly innovative PTi120 is the manufacturer’s first pocket-sized unit and is aimed at troubleshooting and predictive maintenance applications for a broad variety of industrial market sectors.

Aimed at maintenance engineers, particularly, the pocket-sized thermal camera can be carried around easily. It allows maintenance teams to carry out enhanced infrared inspections and obtain quick temperature scans of electrical equipment, machinery, or specific pumps and motors, thereby assisting in the effort to reduce equipment downtime.

Also, the PTi120 imager is a highly rugged device that has an IP54-rated enclosure, allowing it to repel dirt and water ingress, and resist being dropped from a height of up to 1m. Other key specifications comprise field of view of 50-degrees (H) x 38-degrees (V); a temperature measurement range from –20C to +150C, with an accuracy of +/–2C; and battery life of more than two hours.

When used in combination with the company's Connect Desktop software and its ‘Asset Tagging’ ability, users can also scan an asset’s barcode or QR code, which allows the storing of a captured IR image as well as date/time information to predefined folders. This data can be transmitted via WiFi or USB.
