Wide input voltage range ULDO regulators ideal for use in USB and portable devices

Diodes Incorporated AP2205 ULDO Regulators provide a wide input voltage range, high accuracy, high ripple rejection, low noise, current limit, low dropout voltage, and ultra-low quiescent current. The device is created by a high-voltage EPNP and is excellent for use in multiple USB and portable devices.

The regulators comprise of a voltage reference, a resistor network for setting output voltage, an error amplifier, a current limit circuit for current protection, and a chip enable circuit. Furthermore, the device offers a low power shutdown mode for extended battery life, over-temperature protection, overcurrent protection, as well as reversed-battery protection.

The device gives a wide input voltage range of 2.3V to 24V, and an output voltage range of 1.24V to 22V. The device is offered in a compact SOT25 and SOT89 package with 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 2.8V, 3V, 3.3V, 5V fixed-voltage versions and an adjustable voltage version.
