ProTek Devices has launched two new series of steering diode/TVS arrays for surge, ESD and other circuit protection in computing applications including Ethernet ports, set-top boxes, and other computing ports and interfaces.

The PSRDAxx-4A and PSRDAxx-6A series are low capacitance multi-line steering diode/transient voltage suppressor arrays. The PSRDAxx-4A is also ideal for protecting video card applications while the PSRDAxx-6A is also suitable for industrial controls. They give board-level circuit protection for standard TTL and CMOS bus line applications against the destructive effects of ESD, tertiary lightning and switching transients.

Both series have a peak pulse power rating of 500W for an 8/20 micro second waveshape. They also are compatible with many IEC standards that incorporate 61000-4-2 (ESD): air - 15kV, contact - 8kV; with 61000-4-4 (EFT): 40A - 5/50ns; with 61000-4-5 (surge): 24A, 8/20 micro seconds - level 2 (line / ground) and level 3 (line-line). The PSRDAxx-4A provides unidirectional configuration and the PSRDAxx-6A provides bidirectional configuration. Both series are offered in multiple voltages. The PSRDAxx-4A series protects up to four I/O ports and the PSRDAxx-6A series up to six lines. Both series also provide low capacitance of 5pF and are RoHS and REACH compliant.
