The LP-CC2652RB LaunchPad Development Kit, from Texas Instruments, is a full-featured development kit for evaluating, developing and prototyping applications on the SimpleLink CC2652RB wireless MCU. The kit is supported by the SimpleLink Starter app for iOS and Android. This app connects LaunchPad to a smartphone using BLE and supports reading the LaunchPad button states, controls LEDs and sends strings of data to the UART backchannel. It also offers cloud connectivity to the IBM Quickstart server or any other cloud service via MQTT. This allows a cloud view where the user can control LaunchPad from any web browser in minutes following set up. Development with the LaunchPad is supported by the SimpleLink CC2652RB BLE SDK comprising protocol stack and sample application. It also incorporates a broad range of free development tools including

Code Composer Studio v7, SmartRF Studio, and Sensor Controller Studio.

This newest SimpleLink crystal-less wireless MCU, made possible with the company's BAW resonator technology, helps streamline design, optimise space and minimise sourcing challenges by eradicating the necessity for an external crystal. The device offers superior frequency stability without compromise to RF performance.
