Murata Electronics SCL3300 3-Axis MEMs Inclination Sensors, available now from Mouser, feature a tilt angle output and digital SPI interface. The inclinometer has four user-selectable measurement modes which can be used to optimise the sensor’s performance for various applications and their needs. These devices are targeted at applications including levelling, tilt sensing, machine control, and structural health monitoring. The inclinometer provides a ±90-degree tilt angle output and operates from -40C to +125C with a typical offset temperature drift less than ±10mg across the operating temperature range. Noise density is as low as 0.001°/vHz and works from a single 3.3V supply. A sleep mode with 3µA typical consumption is offered for battery use. As the device has a digital interface, it there is no requirement for an external ADC. It comes in a 12-pin pre-moulded 8.6mm x 7.6mm x 3.3mm plastic housing ideal for SMD mounting. The device is compatible with RoHS and ELV directives.
