Mouser now stocks the AmbiMate sensor module MS4 development kits from TE Connectivity. The kits allow global engineering and development teams to create prototypes and evaluation boards for systems combining the company's state-of-the-art AmbiMate MS4 Series sensor modules. The company's kits enable engineers and developers to connect up to seven smart sensors to a Raspberry Pi or an Arduino board and start collecting data within 30 minutes, with the downloadable code available from the company. All of the kits offer sensors for PIR motion, temperature, light, and humidity, while optional enhancements include an integrated microphone and sensors for eCO2 and VOCs. The kits allow simple integration in a mixture of host products in building automation, lighting, and smart home applications where environmental data can inform product decisions. For instance, engineers can use one or more modules to obtain VOC and eCO2 concentrations and appraise air quality. The company's sensor modules incorporate an integrated microphone to augment motion detection by listening for sound events. A network of modules can detect humidity, temperature, occupancy, and light levels, enabling building controllers to alter HVAC equipment, energy management, indoor lighting, and other zonal environmental controls to support sustainability efforts.
