Wieland Electric has expanded its flare Control Series of measuring relays with new devices that monitor a selectable voltage or current set-point. The devices measure voltage in three different ranges up to 300V; or single-phase current in three ranges up to 10A. Both series feature a wide supply voltage range (20.4 to 264V AC/DC), with adjustable delay time delays from 0 to 10s. “The DIN rail mounted flare CONTROL relays enable design engineers to accurately monitor either voltage or current within separately adjustable upper and lower thresholds,” said Martin Lalonde, application engineer, Wieland Electric. “Their wide range of supply voltage gives them ideal flexibility for a single part number to be employed in virtually any machine application from electronic signage to heating or control cabinets, thus reducing inventory and warehousing costs.” The relays are housed in 22.5mm wide DIN-rail modules, and can be set to switch states when the measured values are either within or outside the specified thresholds. Each relay features two changeover contacts, LED indicators for diagnostics / troubleshooting, and plug-in terminals for easy wiring connections. The cULus relays have an operating temperature range of -25C to +55C, says the company.
