Compact, robust and versatile wire-to-board spring clamp system

TTI has announced it is now stocking FCI's new NQ SMT wire-to-board spring clamp system in Europe. Versatile and robust, NQ SMT spring clamps have a compact design only 5mm high which saves valuable PCB space and makes them ideal for space-constrained applications such as LED devices and LED lighting modules. The NQ SMT system is also a cost-effective solution for consumer electronics and factory-automation applications. The NQ SMT system features secure electrical contacts with low wire insertion and high wire retention forces. It has a lever latch to facilitate wire extraction, saving time and effort. The system is available in two contact pitch sizes: 2.5mm with a current rating of 5A (150V) and 4mm with a current rating of 7A (300V), both in AWG solid wire or AWG stranded wire gauges 20 - 24 and 18 - 22. Both models have one to ten contact positions and are end-to-end stackable. They are supplied on tape and reel packaging for automated manufacturing processes.
