New 150W and 300W half brick DC-DCs released

21-11-2022 | Recom International | Industrial

A new 300W-rated half-brick DC-DC converter, the REC300H-W, from RECOM, is now offered with a wide 9V to 36VDC input and output options of 12V, 15V, 24V, and 48VDC isolated to 3kVDC/1 minute. Also released, is the 150W-rated REC150H-UW which has an ultra-wide input range of 9V to 75VDC with the same output voltage options, except 28V and 54VDC, suitable for avionic systems and PoE applications, isolated at 2.5kVDC/1 minute.

The products are highly regulated and protected against short circuits, input under-voltage, and output overload and over-voltage. Outputs are all adjustable by +/-10% and provide remote sensing. An enable input is also supplied. To suit demanding environments, the parts are fully sealed and function with high efficiency over the load range up to a maximum baseplate temperature of 105C. ‘Class A’ and ‘B’ EMC specifications can be met with external filtering.

The half brick format is 57.9mm x 61mm footprint, 12.7mm high with baseplate cooling. Through-hole pin connections for the devices are in a standard arrangement making the parts a drop-in replacement for other products on the market for cost reduction and a performance upgrade.

These new DC-DCs are suitable for many applications that profit from the wide input and output options, including telecom, industrial, aerospace, and PoE.
